Vogue Paris vs. Vogue Italia

Novemeber VOGUE PARIS‘ editorial featuring Eva Herzigova and Anna Selezneva is already all over on the Internet, I know, but it’s worthy to repeat since it’s absolutely brilliant. It’s amazing how Mario Testino captures in a single picture how much beauty has changed in last 5 years. Title: 30 years vs 17 years. Styling: Emmanuele Alt.

Even though I’m closer in age to Eva Herzigova (30), within, I’m still a teen and identificate much more with Anna Seleznava’s fragility (17). Love her outfit: lots of Balmain (new fashionistas’ must), Chloé’s killer boots, Viktor & Rolf and baseball jackets. It perfectly reflects how youth feels in this weird and dark crisis time.

VOGUE ITALY is however publishing a beautiful but non inspiring at all editorial shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinnodh Matadin. Altough the idea of titling “focus on laces” as pics zoom in is funny, it doesn’t mean much to me. Actually, I’m still wondering if it’s an editorial or just a Prada commercial ¿? Appart form photos, we want to see cltohes! And not a copycut of the runway, but a personal proposal of the magazine!!!
